In the mist of the history we learned a few dances and even got to dance along which made it a fun ice breaker too. I enjoyed the visit to their clinic with natural remedies to illnesses and their restaurant which had a delicious stewed fish. Even now as I write I want some more. The guide Roméo has a sarcastic sense of humor which I liked and included everyone. He even taught us the language in preparation. If you forget what he taught, no worries…”

Make sure you wear sneakers and bring water because it’s very hot and you will be waking a lot and there’s basically no ac in any building. My favorite part was learning some Palenque words and hearing about the rich history from our very knowledgeable guide. Highly recommend!!”
