“The Salt Cathedral is absolutely beautiful. You start with the Stations of the Cross where the crosses are carved from the salt of the mine. Then you arrive to the different altars. There are also sculptures and statues of the different Virgin Mary from different countries. Something truly unique! Then we had a two course lunch- first ajiaco a typical delicious soup and then grilled chicken, pork and/ or beef cooked right at the entrance. Our guide, David, was knowledgeable and very nice. Highly recommend this tour!”

“The attractions of tour; visiting the town of Guatavita, hiking up to see the magnificent view of Guatavita Lagoon and the Zipaquirá Salt Cathedral, was such as amazing opportunity. It was great to do two contrasting experiences in one day, first the Guatavita Lagoon which was over 3000 meters above sea level, and the Zipaquirá Salt Cathedral which was 120 meters below sea level. However, this is the cheapest tour for a reason. Unfortunately, we were the last to be picked up and got the worst seats on the bus. I hit my head on the metal luggage rack several times as we were approaching Guatavita lake as the road…”

“Both the lagoon and the salt cathedral were awesome. And the meal break at noon was great too. Sebastian the tour guide was awesome and do informative. Jesus the driver did a great job maneuvering the bus through crowded streets, especially during the evening rush. It was a very full day and completely worth the price. Hi wou I d hghly recommend it to anyone. One note, the hike to the top of the lagoon was a bit intense and would be daunting for elderly with health conditions or those with l limb challenges. But I am 73 and I did fine. My health is good.”

“Excellent full day tour. Did this along with the same tour operator’s 7hour tour of Bogota and it was a great combination. Our guide was Jose Vasquez… we were one native Spanish speaker and one English, both passable but not perfect in the other language. He happily switched back and forth between languages as needed for us to both understand everything, which was very much appreciated. (Some guides previously have told us to pick one language only!) The lagoon has a great story, and the unusual vegetation was beautiful. The guide also knew a ton about the different plants. The salt cathedral was amazing also. Highly recommended if you have…”
