“We got picked up by a taxi and we’re taken to the Bosque del descanso, it was an hour drive from Cali! Our driver stopped for us to get a picture at a beautiful stop. When we arrived, we were greeted by the staff. We signed in and waited for the tour to begin. It did start later than anticipated but in the end that did not matter at all! Our guides Juan & Nicholas were absolutely wonderful! They were very mindful of everyone’s safety and making sure those who struggled a bit got that extra help. Then we went into a very large enclosure to see butterflies everywhere among the plants. We sat quietly and the butterflies came and sat on us. After a while, we had to shake them off so we could move on.”
